A quiet little town dominated by the Old Tower, situated in a beautiful country landscape, with an undulating terrain which is divided by the Strada Reale (Royal Road) into the Valle di Sopra (Upper Valley) and the Valle di Sotto (Lower Valley), fitting terms to describe the setting. The hills of the Langhe and Roero areas seem to lie just a bicycle ride away.

Pleasant excursions can be enjoyed on the Morainic hill and the countryside below, where it is also possible to admire the majestic Salza Castle with its slender Baroque chapel. Paths and ups and downs, splendid panoramic views of the hills and the Alps, little villages with churches and old mills, herds grazing on the vast pastures: you can discover every corner by following the five short Marene Itineraries, or the complete external circuit of 25 km.
