The Po River Park Surrounding Cuneo

3,600 metres of landscapes, flora and fauna: allow yourself be surprised by the Great River and “its” Park.

From the 240m plain of Casalgrasso to the 3,841m peak of Monviso: this is the Po river park surrounding Cuneo, a concentration of all the Piedmont landscapes in one park. High mountains, Alpine lakes, formed by snowfields and glaciers, Europe’s highest peat-bog in the Pian del Re, the sources of the Po, that from a stream becomes a Great River, mountain and plain forests, and of course, a remarkable number of animal species and plants.

An area of interest in the park is the convergence of the Pellice, where the Pellice stream plunges into the Po, which at this point is not yet the Great River but is no longer a stream, and the convergence of the Varaita, with its agricultural landscape rich in fields and orchards.
